Welcome Jonathan

Surprise visit from Mr. Jonathan King (far right) to Don Bosco TVET Center Balamban. He is an Alumnus of Don Bosco Technical Institute and had Fr. Jomar Legaspi as his Principal in the 90’s. Once a Bosconian, always a Bosconian. He is a true blooded Cebuano too. Thank you for the visit and support to the Bosconians in Cebu who were helping feed the poor at the start of the pandemic in 2020.

Remember you are dust…

Today we started the 40 days of the Lenten Season with the Catholic Tradition of Ash Wednesday. The Holy Father has enjoined all Christians and non-Christians to make Ash Wednesday as a day of prayer and fasting for our suffering Sisters and Brothers in Ukraine and World Peace. The ashes on our foreheads reminds us of our mortality … “Remember that you are dust, and unto dust you will return” and it is also a sign of our repentance of our sinfulness and the need for the love and mercy of God.

Water Pump Rehab

Don Bosco Tvet Center submersible water pump undergoes rehabilitation after Typhoon Odette. The pump has not been operational after almost a month of no electricity. However when the electricity came back, water pressure was not enough to pump water to our tanks on top of the hill. It seems that the metal casings and other fittings needed rehabilitation. Praying that there is no damage to the pump itself 🥲. Once the water system is fixed, we can start the new SMAW NCII training of Batch 48. Donations are welcomed to defray the expenses.
